Tehran UFO Incident (1976)

Iranian Air Force F-4 Phantom jets were scrambled to intercept a bright object over Tehran. When the first pilot attempted to fire an AIM-9 missile, his weapons systems and communications completely shut down. They restored only after he turned away from the object. A second F-4 experienced the same electronics failure when approaching. The object released a smaller luminous object that approached the jet at high speed before returning to the main craft. A DIA classified report rated the case 'outstanding' — their highest reliability rating. This is a foreign military confirming that a UAP disabled their weapons systems, corroborating the Malmstrom pattern: these things can shut down our weapons at will.

Tehran 1976 — DIA Report (Declassified)

Declassified DIA report on the Tehran UFO incident of September 19, 1976. Two F-4 Phantom jets were scrambled to intercept a brilliantly lit object. When the first jet attempted to fire an AIM-9 missile, all weapons systems and communications went dead. When the jet turned away, systems restored. The DIA classified this as one of the most well-documented UAP encounters due to multiple radar confirmations, visual sightings from ground and air, electromagnetic effects on aircraft systems, and physiological effects on crew.
