Art Bell
Radio Host / Coast to Coast AM Creator
Creator and original host of Coast to Coast AM, the late-night radio show that became the primary pipeline for UAP evidence and testimony throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Broadcasting from his home studio in Pahrump, Nevada (near Area 51), Bell's show reached 10-15 million weekly listeners at its peak. Coast to Coast AM was the platform where Bob Lazar's claims first reached a mass audience (through George Knapp's reporting), where the 'Victor' alien interview footage was debuted, where Art's Parts — alleged metamaterial fragments from a UAP — were first shared with the public, and where hundreds of military, intelligence, and scientific witnesses told their stories for the first time. Bell's genius was creating a space where credible witnesses could speak without ridicule, alongside more speculative content. The show served as the pre-internet equivalent of what podcasts like Weaponized and the Shawn Ryan Show do today. Without Coast to Coast AM, many cases in the UAP record would never have reached public awareness. Bell died April 13, 2018.
