Edgar Mitchell
Apollo 14 Astronaut / 6th Man on the Moon
NASA astronaut and the sixth person to walk on the Moon during Apollo 14 (1971). After returning from the Moon, Mitchell experienced what he called a 'flash of understanding' — a profound noetic experience during the return flight. He founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) in 1973 to study consciousness. Over the following decades, Mitchell became one of the most outspoken astronauts on the reality of extraterrestrial contact. He stated publicly and repeatedly that he had been briefed by military and intelligence insiders who confirmed the Roswell crash was real and that the US government has recovered alien craft and bodies. In a 2008 interview, he stated: 'I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet, and the UFO phenomenon is real.' He claimed high-ranking military officials confirmed this to him directly. Mitchell's credibility is unique — a man who walked on the Moon, with the highest possible security clearances, spending his post-NASA career insisting that non-human intelligence is real and the government knows it. Died February 4, 2016.
