The 2001 NPC Witnesses: What They Saw and What Happened to Them
The 2001 Disclosure Project event at the National Press Club featured over 20 witnesses. But the full archive contains nearly 500 hours of videotaped testimony from military, intelligence, and government witnesses. Here are the key testimonies that map directly to cases in this hub — and what happened to the witnesses afterward. KARL WOLFE — NASA LUNAR STRUCTURES: US Air Force Sergeant Karl Wolfe worked at Langley Air Force Base as a precision electronics photographic repairman with top secret crypto clearance. In 1965, he was temporarily assigned to NSA's facility at Langley where NASA's Lunar Orbiter program data was being processed. A fellow technician, frustrated and scared, showed Wolfe photographs from the far side of the moon that revealed geometric structures — 'mushroom-shaped buildings, spherical buildings, towers, and structures that looked like radar antennas.' Wolfe testified at the 2001 NPC. He died on October 10, 2018 when he was hit by a tractor-trailer while riding his bicycle near his home in Lansing, New York. He was 74. DONNA HARE — NASA PHOTO AIRBRUSHING: Donna Hare worked at NASA's Johnson Space Center as a design illustrator and space illustrator with a secret clearance from 1967-1981 (Philco Ford subcontractor). She testified that she walked into a restricted area where a colleague showed her a NASA photograph with a clear disc-shaped UFO in the image. The colleague explained that it was his job to airbrush UFOs out of photographs before they were released to the public. Hare testified that another NASA employee told her he was given quarantine-like orders after witnessing a UFO landing at the space center. A security guard told her he had been forced to burn photographs of UFOs. Multiple NASA sources confirmed to her that UFO evidence was being systematically removed from official images before public release. Hare testified at the 2001 NPC. CLIFFORD STONE — 57 SPECIES CATALOG: US Army Sergeant First Class Clifford Stone served from 1968-1990 and claims to have been part of a covert unit tasked with recovering crashed UFOs and extraterrestrial biological entities (EBEs). Stone testified at the 2001 NPC that the military maintained a catalog of at least 57 different species of extraterrestrial beings, some of which looked enough like humans to walk among us undetected. He described being deployed to crash recovery sites, interacting with living beings, and being threatened with prison if he spoke. Stone is one of the most controversial witnesses — his claims are among the most extraordinary — but he has remained consistent for decades and passed multiple polygraph tests. He filed hundreds of FOIA requests, recovering thousands of pages of government UFO documents. JOHN CALLAHAN — FAA JAL 1628 COVER-UP: John Callahan was the FAA Division Chief of Accidents and Investigations. He testified about the November 17, 1986 Japan Airlines Flight 1628 incident where a Boeing 747 cargo jet was followed by a massive UFO for 31 minutes over Alaska, tracked on military and FAA radar. Callahan's FAA team briefed the Reagan administration, FBI, CIA, and the Scientific Study Group. After the briefing, a CIA officer told everyone in the room: 'This event never happened. We were never here. We're confiscating all this data.' The officer told Callahan: 'If the public knew about this, it would create panic.' Callahan kept his own copies — which is how we have the evidence. THE PATTERN: These witnesses share three characteristics: (1) high-level security clearances in military/intelligence positions, (2) they described systematic institutional suppression, not random events, and (3) several of them died under circumstances that warrant scrutiny. The 2001 NPC archive is the largest collection of credentialed firsthand testimony about UAP programs ever assembled. Twenty-five years later, most of these claims have been corroborated by subsequent witnesses (Grusch, Elizondo, Nell) and official acknowledgments.
